Red Sky Energy Secures New Chairman Key Points: - Mr Gerrit de Nys agrees to join the board of Red Sky Energy as non executive Chairman; and - Mr de Nys has extensive international experience in building businesses from inception into enterprises worth several hundred million dollars. Australian company Red Sky Energy Limited (ASX: ROG) ("Red Sky" or "the Company") today endorsed the appointment of Mr Gerrit de Nys as non executive Chairman effective immediately. Gerrits first success with building a business was with the Hong Kong based Shui On Group.

As one of the founders in 1978, he grew the construction materials division from inception to a value of several hundred million dollars in 1990. Later Gerrit joined the IMC Group, a large diversified shipping and investment conglomerate throughout Asia, with more than 6,800 employees worldwide and a major presence in China, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Australia.

As head of the shipyard operations in Thailand for nine years, he took the business from its formative stages through to a business employing in excess of 2,000 people, repairing some of the largest ships in the region and constructing offshore oil/gas platforms. His most recent role with IMC was as Group Managing Director--Direct Investments, which was instrumental in establishing the IMC Resources Group with in excess of $100 million in seed investments in a number of ASX listed and private companies. Gerrit also has oil and gas experience as a non executive director with Horizon Oil, which has oil production in New Zealand and gas developments in PNG.
