MULTIPLE COPPER ZONES IN EMPIRE"S FIRST HOLE
IN NEW W.A.

DRILL SCHEDULE AT YUINMERY
Four zones of copper mineralization have been intersected in the first drillhole (YD09-01) of a
new exploration drilling campaign by Perth-based Empire Resources Ltd (ASX Code: ERL) on
its Yuinmery copper-gold project south of Sandstone, Western Australia.
The intersections include zones of massive sulphides, disseminated sulphides, stringer zones, and
banded chert-magnetite at the Just Desserts prospect.

The summary log for the intersections
comprises:
Upper Zone 10.4 metres from 66.30 metres downhole,
Lower Zone 3.0 metres from 105.65 metre downhole,
Footwall Stringer Zone 1 5.2 metres from 115.70 metres downhole, and
Footwall Stringer Zone 2 6.5 metres from 136.45 metres downhole.
Also revealed in the intersections were four types of mineralization consistent with a
volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) copper-gold style of deposit, as follows:
1.

Massive coarse grained chalcopyrite-pyrrhotite.

See Plate 1
2.

Banded magnetite and sulphide cherty rock.

See Plate 2
3.

Chalcopyrite stringer-stockwork zones.

See Plate 3
4.

Framboidal-like blebs of pyrrhotite rimmed by pyrite.

See Plate 4
Half the core will be used for metallurgical test work.

Analytical data is not expected until late
January, 2010.
The above drill hole is part of a combined Reverse Circulation (RC) and diamond core drilling
program designed to further prove up Empire"s high grade copper gold discoveries at Yuinmery.
Four diamond core holes have been scheduled in what is the first major drill campaign on
Yuinmery since the Company announced a JORC compliant Indicated and Inferred resource
estimate of 1,070,000 tonnes grading 1.82% copper and 0.78 g/t gold from shallow drilling of
Just Desserts.
