Terra Ventures Inc.: Roughrider Continues to Grow

Terra Ventures Inc.: Roughrider Continues to Grow Vancouver, April 15, 2010 - Terra Ventures Inc.

(TSX-V: TAS) is pleased to provide an update on the Midwest Northeast Uranium property in which Terra owns a 10% production carried interest.

In a press release dated April 15, 2010, Hathor reported: Hathor Exploration Limited (HAT:TSX-V) announces the release of scintillometer results for Area 2 from the Roughrider uranium deposit at its Midwest Northeast property in northern Saskatchewan.

This release completes the release of all scintillometer data for the Roughrider uranium deposit from the winter 2010 drill program.

Highlights include: 1.

Multiple intersections of massive uranium mineralization and off-scale radioactivity within the lower grade shell of the Initial Resource Model.

For example: MWNE-10-204; 6.1 m (231.9 – 238.0 m) of near continuous off-scale radioactivity (>9999 cps). MWNE-10-209; 11.2 m (251.7 – 262.9 m) of near continuous off-scale radioactivity† MWNE-10-216; 3.4 m (255.5 – 258.9 m) of near continuous off-scale radioactivity (>9999 cps).

- See cross section in Figure 3 & Figure 5 and pitchblende mineralization in Photo 1 Photo 2 † Strongly mineralized zone in MWNE10-209 is characterized by higher than normal core loss.

Down-hole gamma probe data confirm the entire zone to be off-scale (Figure 4 2.

Discovery of wide intersections of anomalous, including off-scale, radioactivity adjacent to and outside of the Initial Resource Model.

For example: Hole MWNE-10-210; 24.1 m (240.40 – 264.50 m) of near continuous radioactivity, including 1.6 m of off-scale (>9999 cps) and 3.4 m of strong radioactivity (5000 to 9999 cps). - See cross section in Figure 5 As described in the previous news release, results from the Roughrider uranium deposit have been organized into four separate areas, or blocks.

Preliminary results were released for Area 3 on March 29, 2010 and Areas 1 and 4 on April 13.

2010.

This release covers Area 2.

Assay results from the various areas in the Roughrider uranium deposit will be released in due course. Figure 1 shows the 400 m strike length covering the Roughrider uranium deposit and Roughrider East; locations of sections in Figure 3 and Figure 5 are also shown.

The Roughrider uranium deposit remains open and two drills have been left on site for the upcoming summer drill program.

Figure 2 shows the 13 drill holes (4368.6 m) that were completed in Area 2.

The holes span grid lines 5E to 25E.

Although only 20m wide, Area 2 includes a number of high grade shells (>5% uranium oxide) and a number of new targets, as defined by the Initial NI43-101 compliant resource model ("Initial Resource Model") completed by Scott Wilson Roscoe Postle Associates Inc.

(SWRPA) in December of last year.

The report was based on all drilling prior to the summer of 2009.

(SEDAR and the Companys website at www.hathor.ca). A capsule description of the radioactivity results for each of the 19 holes in Table 1 and complete scintillometer data sets for the 13 holes are in Table 2 at www.hathor.ca.

Summary of drill holes for Area 1: Line 10E.

Line 10E was poorly constrained by drill holes prior to winter 2010: the mineralization on the Initial Resource Model was largely inferred from drill holes off-section.

Drill hole 10-217C successfully tested the new shallower zone of mineralization first intersected in drill hole 09-126.

Drill holes 10-209, 10-213, 10-216 and 10-219 were all designed to test the mineralization, both low and high grade, inferred based on drill hole intersections off-section or down dip from drill hole 08-022.

Drill hole 10-216 intersected three separate zones of anomalous radioactivity including a lower zone that contains 3.2 m of continuous off-scale radioactivity with visible massive, semi-massive and worm-rock type uranium mineralization.

This massive mineralization is within an area previously modelled as low grade.

Drill hole 10-209 intersected 35.9 m of anomalous radioactivity over a wider zone of 65.10 m.

This zone included an 11.2 m wide zone of intense radioactivity that contained 10.95 m of off-scale radioactivity.

Although this zone was characterised by increased core loss, up to 60%, comparison with the down hole gamma probe results reveals the material recovered to be representative of the zone (Figure 4).

Drill hole 10-213 was drilled to try to replicate drill ho le 10-209; however, due to excessive drill swing, it ended up intersecting a different mineralized zone.

On the 10E cross section, drill holes 10-209 and 10-213 appear to be in the same location.

In three dimensions, these two drill holes have a lateral separation of 5 m.

Despite the drill swing, drill hole 10-213 intersected a wide package of anomalous radioactivity, although not as intense as that intersected in 10-209. Line 20E.

Line 20E was poorly constrained by drill holes prior to winter 2010: the mineralization on the Initial Resource Model was largely inferred from drill holes off-section.

Drill hole 10-204 targeted the inferred lower grade mineralization that separated two high grade zones as modelled in the Initial Resource Model.

This drill hole successfully intersected anomalous radioactivity.

It was; however, much stronger than modelled with a large interval of continuous off-scale present.

Drill hole 10-205 was designed to test the mineralization, both low and high grade, inferred in the Initial Resource Model.

The drill hole successfully intersected mineralization at the target depth.

One interval contained anomalous radioactivity weaker than modelled, while another zone intersected stronger radioactivity than expected, including 2.5 m of continuous off-scale radioactivity. Drill holes 10-210, 10-214, 10-207A were designed to tested the new shallower zone of basement-hosted mineralization first identified in drill hole 09-126 and subsequently intersected in 10-200A (NR 13 Apr 10).

All four drill holes successfully intersected variable amounts of anomalous radioactivity, with off-scale present radioactivity present in four drill holes.

In addition to testing the new zone, these drill holes also successfully tested low grade mineralization inferred in the Initial Resource Model.

Drill hole 10-210 intersected the strongest and widest interval of radioactivity.

This entire interval was outside any previously modelled zone. Natural gamma emission radiation is measured in counts per second (cps) using an Exploranium GR-110 hand-held gamma-ray scintillometer.

The reader is cautioned that scintillometer readings are not directly or uniformly related to uranium grades of the rock sample measured, and should be used only as a preliminary indication of the presence of radioactive materials.

All intersections are down-hole, core-length intervals and true thickness of mineralization is yet to be determined. Terra Ventures Inc.
