Tamaska Oil and Gas Ltd. [ASX:TMK] - Drilling Update 2 � High Impact Rend Lake Oil Prospect

Tamaska Oil and Gas Limited (ASX:TMK) is pleased to advise that the Lawrence Farms Well #1 is currently drilling ahead at a depth of 4,455ft towards the wells secondary reservoir objectives. The well is being drilled by Anschutz Corporation (Operator, 50% WI) to test the high impact Rend Lake Oil Prospect located in Franklin County, Illinois, USA.

Tamaska holds a 20% working interest in the prospect and is free carried for the first $1m of drilling costs by the Operator Anschutz, as previously announced 26th September 2013.

Since the last update (3rd December 2013), the well has drilled 2,923ft with a 7 7/8� drill bit to a depth of 4,455ft. The well is currently drilling ahead in the New Albany Shale (the JV has leased the mineral rights beneath the base of the new Albany Shale) which provides a regional seal for the secondary reservoir targets of the Lingle and Grand Tower Devonian Limestones. The well will then continue to drill through the primary targets of the Ordovician, Trenton-Black River formations beneath the Maquoketa and Galena Shales.
