ANTHEM INTERSECTS 2.3 METRES GRADING 0.45% U3O8 ON HATCHET LAKE PROPERTY, SASKATCHEWAN

======================================================================= Re: News Release - Wednesday, April 24, 2013 Anthem Intersects 2.3 metres grading 0.45% U3O8 on Hatchet Lake Property, Saskatchewan ======================================================================= NR: 13-03 Anthem Resources Inc.

(TSX.V: AYN; OTCQX: VAERF) ("Anthem" or the "Company") is pleased to report chemical assays have been received for its recently completed drill program on the Hatchet Lake property, located on the eastern margin of the Athabasca basin, Saskatchewan.

The project is part of a 50-50 joint venture operated by Denison Mines Corp (TSX: DML). As reported in the Companys news release of March 1, 2013, uranium mineralization was intersected in two drill holes on the northern portion of the Crooked-Richardson Lakes trend.

The best assay result was in drill hole RL-13-16, which intersected 0.45% UO over 2.3 metres beginning at 124.0 metres down the drill hole.

This interval includes a higher grade interval of 0.5 metres grading 1.46% UO.

Further drilling is required to follow up on these promising results. It is noted that the uranium assay values in this intersection are stronger and over a broader interval than the preliminary down-hole probe value of 0.196% eUO over 1.9 m as reported on March 1.

The mineralized zone straddles the Athabasca basin unconformity and is primarily hosted in altered sandstone. Hole RL013-16 was part of a 13-hole, 2360.6-metre program that tested a 2.3-kilometre portion of the Crooked-Richardson Lakes trend.

Other holes also intersected anomalous uranium values in the sandstone and basement rocks.
