MARKET COMMENTARY FOR OCT 12, 2012

Early indications are for happy markets in North America. Equity futures are pointed higher while bond prices are sliding slightly. The 10 year Treasury is having a hard time declining substantially though, the yield is still a paltry 1.68%. This is not the lows of the year by any stretch, but given the 14% return on the S&P500 in 2012, we would have expected some retracement of the bond market - despite central bank activity.
