Sable Mining Africa Limited/ Index: AIM / Epic: SBLM / Sector: Natural Resources 5 October 2011 Sable Mining Africa Limited (Sable Mining or the Company) Appointment of Executive Director Sable Mining Africa Limited, the AIM listed resource investment company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr.

Petrus Peet Snyders as an Executive Director to the Board and Chief Operations Officer of the Companys Coal Division with immediate effect.

Mr.

Snyders, who has 30 years experience in the mining industry, has held senior positions at miners including Anglo Platinum, Kumba Coal, Iscor Mining and Anglo Coal.

He will oversee the development of Sable Minings coal interests, which have a current attributable coal resource of 2.3 billion tonnes and be a valuable addition to the Group as it advances its multi-project portfolio of bulk commodities spanning South Africa, Zimbabwe, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea. Mr.

Snyders has specialised in business management and development, business re-engineering, mine design and high technology mining and has taken numerous coal projects into production.

He has held a number of high profile directorship positions, including his latest position, Director of Operations of South African based coal exploration and development company Keaton Energy Holdings (Pty) Ltd (Keaton Energy).

Keaton Energy is currently developing the Vanggatfontein Coal Project which is contiguous to the Companys existing coal interests at Rietkuil, which is being advanced towards production in the near-term.

He was also Managing Director of Riversdale Holdings SA and Business Manager at Anglo Platinum Limited. Mr.

Snyders holds a business management degree from the University of Johannesburg, a Bachelor of Engineering degree in mining from the University of Pretoria.

He is a qualified mine manager and holds Mine Managers Certificates for both Metalliferous and Coal Mines.

He is a member of the South African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, the South African Colliery Managers Association and the Engineering Council of South Africa.

He has also been Chairman and Vice President of the Kwa-Zulu Natal South African Colliery Managers Association.
