Westminster Resources Ltd.
- Drill results confirm large mineralized systems
VANCOUVER,BC - Westminster Resources ("Westminster" or "the Company")
(TSX-V:WMR) has now compiled results for the recent 2,000 metre drilling program at the Companys Sonora, Mexico
properties.
The drill program at the El Cobre Property - San Bartolo prospect (1,499 metres) was designed to test five anomalous silver-copper soil geochemical trends, subcrop anomalous rock samples and old artisanal prospect shafts and pits.
The San Bartolo 16-hole program only targeted approximately 1.5 kilometres of strike of the structurally controlled system which extends across and beyond the 3.2 Km x 2 Km soil grid. San Bartolo Hole 11-05 intersected 3.1 metres (12.5m-15.6m) grading 145.3 g/t silver and 1.03% copper
(Table 1).
This Cu-Ag mineralized system and its associated potassic altered pink granitic dykes may be genetically related to the much larger Cumbral trend recently identified on the property just 5 km.
to the northwest.
The Saddle prospect at the Navojoa Property was tested with seven diamond drill holes totaling 502 metres.
Marble-hosted, sub-cropping, massive sulphide replacement mineralization and a related geophysical magnetic anomaly were drilled.
The sulphide intercepts were found to be contained near surface above a fault.
The most significant intercept was found in Hole 11-01 at 22-23 metres where massive pyrrhotite graded 0.43% copper, 8.85% zinc and 8.9 g/t silver over one meter
(Table 2).
"We are excited about the potential at the Saddle prospect," commented Bruce Ballantyne, Project Manager.
"Subsequent to drilling the Company received the interpretation of airborne geophysical survey results from the area that indicates that two other much larger VTEM and coincident magnetic anomalies that appear to be not fault bounded are situated just to the east of the Saddle prospect."
The San Bartolo, Cumbral and Navojoa prospects will be further delineated by ground magnetic and IP surveys followed by diamond drilling.

In compliance with NI 43-101 protocol, all the HQ-sized drill core samples were sawn in half at the secure site and one half core samples were numbered and bagged generally over intercepts of one to one and a half meters in core length.
The remaining half core was saved and securely stored in core boxes at a secure site.
The drill core samples were collected at the project site by Sonora Sample Preparations (SSP) S.A.
de C.V., and securely delivered to their sample preparation facility in Hermosillo, Sonora where they were crushed and ground according to the ACME Laboratories protocol R150.
After splitting the pulps,
SSP shipped approximately 150 grams per sample via International Courier to ACME Analytical Laboratories Ltd., Vancouver
, B.C.
A 15 gram subsample from each pulp was analyzed by a 58 element wet geochemical ultratrace ICP-MS procedure (ACME Code IF).
All samples containing overlimit base metal and/or precious metal results were re-analyzed by ACME using standard Fire Assay or ore assay determination methods.
Normal practice QA-QC blank, duplicate and standard reference material samples were inserted by the Company and laboratory and analyzed in the sample stream.
Drill core recovery generally ranged from 90% to 100%.
True intercept thickness estimates of mineralization are unknown at this time.
The drill program and foregoing disclosure has also been reviewed and verified by director Glen C.
Macdonald, P.
Geo., a qualified person for the purpose of National Instrument 43-101, Standard of Disclosure for Mineral Projects.
