(TSX: G, NYSE: GG)�announced today that it will extend the deadline date for former shareholders of Andean Resources Ltd.

to make a joint Canadian tax election with Goldcorp.

The deadline for providing the appropriate Canadian tax information to Goldcorp�s representative for this tax election process is May 11, 2011.�However, although any Canadian tax election information received up to May 11, 2011 will be processed, any such information received after April 20, 2011 by Goldcorp�s representative for this tax election process cannot be assured of processing and return to the shareholder by an individual taxpayer�s filing deadline of April 30, 2011.
