On December 2, 2011, Cliff James made a hard-hitting presentation at the Philippine Mining Club on the challenges and benefits of mining in the Philippines.

His powerful presentation spoke out against the open pit mining ban and was picked up by the popular business channel ANC Television in the Philippines.  A couple of days later, that same interview was reproduced with a statement from the Governor of Zamboanga del Norte (home to TVI’s Canatuan operation).  Both of these television segments, and the corresponding PowerPoint presentation, can be accessed here on our TVI Ordinance webpage.

TVI’s Balabag gold project is in another province and is protected by way of a resolution passed by the Province effectively banning the filing of an ordinance of this nature.
