AMI Resources Drills 24m of 3.08g/t Gold including 8.87g/t over 7m
and 11.40g/t Gold over 6m including 21.77g/t over 3m
Vancouver, B.C. The Company (TSX-V: AMU) wishes to announce that it has completed its initial drill program towards earning its 51% interest in the Sirba Gold Project in Niger from Golden Star Resources.
The 25 hole drill program was designed to confirm and extend gold mineralization identified in five of the multiple targets located on both the Tialkam and Deba concessions. (see attached map). Results from holes drilled in each targeted area are listed below:
The Congo Toure Zone: The drilling target was EW trending quartz veins hosted in a series of mafic tuffs and volcanic rocks, which contain 2-3%, disseminated sulphides. Historic drilling had intersected gold mineralization in quartz vein systems and in host rock, both in the oxide and fresh zones.

The Tialkam South Zone: This exploration target is a cluster of soil anomalies that coincides with a zone of intense artisanal mining activities. The geology is composed of strongly weathered mafic sediments with 1-2% disseminated sulphides.

* Holes TSRC001, TSRC002 and TSRC003 were previously reported in the March 10th, 2010 News Release.
The Kokoloukou Zone: The drilling has been executed over a large cluster of soil anomalies, near four historic drill holes with gold values in an EW trending fracture and nearby artisanal mining sites.

The Deba Zone: Historic drilling has intersected 71m @0.43 g/t Au and was stopped in mineralization. Two holes around this location have been executed to confirm and extend the gold mineralization and two other holes over an anomalous zone composed of a mafic unit with silica alteration and quartz veining.

The Sefa Nangue Zone: The Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has intersected a multitude of gold bearing quartz veins oriented E-W over a width of 500 meters and a length of approximately 2 kilometers. JICA had reported a NI 43-101 non-compliant resource of 2.4 million tons grading 2.06 g/t Au from the 5126 m of core drilling executed at Sefa Nangue. However a qualified person has not done sufficient work to classify the above historical estimate as a current mineral resource. The Company is not treating the historical estimate as current mineral resources and the historical estimate should not be relied upon. Eleven drill holes were executed by AMI, which confirms and extends this mineralization.
