Redfork ASX Announcement 18 December2009 More Success at East Oklahoma North US-focused oil and gas exploration and production company Red Fork Energy Limited ("Red Fork" or "the Company") is pleased to announce that the Posey #1-17 Well reached total depth of 635 feet on 16 December 2009. Again, open hole logs confirmed the presence of the target Woodford Shale at the depth and thickness predicted by our internal modeling.

The shale was encountered at 557 feet and was logged to be approximately 27 feet thick.

Gas was visible in samples from the entire section with strong odor to surface.

This well confirms the presence of the Woodford Shale with shows of gas in the extreme eastern side of the companies Eastern Oklahoma project. The drilling rig will now move to the Companys East Oklahoma Central project area, where drilling will continue in the week of December 21st in the immediate vicinity of the Mayes "A" Compression and Processing facilities (currently under construction). The wells drilled in this current program will be cased and cemented in preparation for completion and testing, which is expect to take place in early January.

Initial flow rates from these tests will be reported as the results become available.
