ASX Announcement: Scotgold Resources (ASX: SGZ) 29 September 2009 Breccia-Hosted Gold-Silver Discovery Enhances Exploration Potential Of Scotgolds Grampian Gold Project Highlights: - New Beinn Udlaidh Discovery Enhances Potential for Large Additional Gold/Silver Resource - Sixteen explosion breccia pipes identified to date associated with lamprophyre field - First drill intersection of 12 metres @ 1.45 g/t gold and 8.9 g/t silver - Mineralized breccia dyke extends over 900 metres strike length - Scotgold to Identify Priority Drilling Targets SUMMARY Scotgold Resources Limited (ASX:SGZ) has identified significant breccia-hosted gold-silver mineralization at the Beinn Udlaidh prospect in association with a lamprophyre field.

The prospect is located five kilometers north northwest of the high grade Cononish Gold and Silver Deposit, highlighting the potential of Beinn Udlaidh prospect to host a large additional gold/silver resource in the Grampian Gold Project, Scotland. The new discovery results from a review of historic exploration data and follow-up field reconnaissance by Scotgold and the drilling of a single, 12 metre-deep diamond drill hole into one of 16 breccia pipes the Company has so far identified in the Beinn Udlaidh area.

The entire length of drill hole, which was limited by the depth capacity of the rig, is mineralized (>0.1 g/t gold) averaging 12 metres @ 1.45 g/t gold and 8.9 g/t silver. Scotgold considers these initial results are extremely encouraging, given the high grade rock and boulders samples discovered nearby (up to 359 g/t gold and 2,520 g/t silver), the limited drilling and the number of other breccia bodies in the area which have had no drill testing.
