Kirrin Resources Announces 2009 Exploration Plans for Boxey Point Uranium Project
CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Sept.

11, 2009) - Kirrin Resources Inc.

(TSX VENTURE:KYM) today announced its 2009 exploration plans for the Boxey Point uranium project located in Newfoundland and Labrador.

The budget for the 2009 program is $400,000, which may be increased dependent upon results and the availability of equipment.

The Boxey Point project is located on the south coast of Newfoundland and thus is unaffected by the moratorium on uranium mining and milling on Inuit Labrador land.

Kirrins uranium exploration expenditure plans in Canada during 2009 and 2010 are forecast at $2.1 million.

This is in addition to expenditures that will arise consequent upon transactions resulting from Kirrins current review of property acquisitions and strategic alliances with uranium partners in Canada.

The Boxey Point program will commence forthwith.

It follows-up the results of fieldwork completed during 2008 and will comprise:

- Gridding and geophysics: During late fall 2008 some 17 line-km of gridding and ground magnetic geophysical survey was completed at the western part of the Boxey Point promontory; however, this program was stopped prior to completion due to harsh weather conditions.

Starting in mid September, some 58 line-km of gridding and ground magnetic surveys will be done in order to extend the grid easterly, bringing the expected total gridding and ground magnetic surveys to about 75 line-km.

- Drilling totalling some 1,500 m in 6 holes, each to a maximum depth of 250 m, will be completed during mid-fall 2009.

These holes are being drilled to test a radioactive uranium-bearing zone that is exposed on a cliff-face along the west coast of the Boxey Point promontory, anomalous uranium in soil sample results that extend at least some 1.5 km easterly from this cliff face, and, finally, selected fault zones that may control in whole or in part the uranium-bearing zone(s).

- Drilling will be initiated once the gridding and ground geophysical surveys are completed and interpreted.

Logical drill collars will be selected based on the 2008 semi-detailed geological mapping and geochemical soil sampling and the fall 2009 geophysical survey results.

Kirrin is fortunate in having retained the same exploration team for 2009 that gained familiarity with the Boxey Point project during the 2008 program.
